The Albert & Moo Story
Est. 2017
Albert & Moo is the long standing dream of Lianne Westwood, which finally became a reality in late 2017. With a love of interior design since she was a child, a career in online retail spanning a decade, and a newly acquired interior design diploma under her belt she decided to combine her love of interiors with her expertise in E-commerce and so her very own interiors website was born.
Supporting small, local designers and makers has always been important to Lianne, and with Albert & Moo, she tried as much as possible to stock products which are handmade, or designed and produced in the UK, particularly championing local brands. She is a staunch supporter of the Just A Card campaign, and very much practices what she preaches, shopping with other indie brands, small retailers and B Corps almost exclusively. There is even have a semi-regular series on the blog called #ShopSmall taking different themes and trends and then finding the best products from indie stores.
Lianne is also a proud member of Buy Women Built, a platform which promotes women led business (Have a look! There's some great brands!), and again Albert & Moo in turn stocks a lot of women run brands.
Sustainability is an important aspect for Albert & Moo, supporting companies who value fair trade products and recycled materials. We always try to minimise our waste, and this includes reusing and recycling packaging wherever possible. We never buy plastic packaging, preferring to use recycled paper. We also reuse all of the bubble wrap and air bags our stock is packaged in to be delivered to us, never throwing anything that can be reused away.
Since moving from London to Suffolk in late 2022, the interior design side of things has been expanded, now offering a range of services to best suit your needs.
