PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
If you love plants and gardening as much as we do, then you've probably tried growing an avocado tree from an avocado stone. It's really fun, you just submerge the bottom of the stone in water (but not the whole thing - the top needs air), wait, and voila! Within a few weeks the roots start shooting out of the submerged end, and then green shoots start growing out of the top. How to perfectly submerge the avocado stone though?
There are a couple of options. You can find a vessel that the avacado stone can balance perfectly in. Except one the stone splits open for the roots, it tends to get stuck making potting on impossible. Or you can prick toothpicks in it, to balance the stone. This works very well, but looks very ugly.
Now though, is a third option! And one that both allows easy removable of the stone and looks nice. We bring to you, the avocado float! By our favourite French brand, Pepin (who make the wonderful Ollas).
Made in Portugal from cork, in a very attractive gift box designed by French artist Giselle et Rose (Gigi), this makes the perfect plant gift for both the gardeners and less green fingered folk in your life.

BUT WHO ARE WE?
Albert & Moo was set up in 2017 by Lianne Westwood after more than a decade working for numerous other E-commerce brands and retailers (including a four year stint at Amazon UK). In 2016 she did an interior design diploma, thinking she wanted a career change, but instead she had an idea for her very own website blending her knowledge of retail, her love of interiors and a passion to support small, independent brands. A year later Albert & Moo was born. It was named after her (at the time) pet bearded dragons, Albi and Mooli.
Now in its ninth year, and following a relocation from London to Suffolk, Albert & Moo is still run by Lianne, but she sometimes has help from her five year old daughter (!), and her love of interiors has spread to include all things plants and gardening.
All orders are packed by Lianne herself from her garden studio and are plastic free (unless reusing the bubble wrap stock arrives in). She is eternally grateful for every single order. Genuinely, thank you.
WHY SHOP SMALL?
You've heard the saying about small business owners doing a happy dance every time they get an order. It's true! Every order we recieve genuinely puts a smile on our face and we pack your order with much love and attention.
There's also a statistic about how more of your money goes back into the local economy rather than lining a shareholders pockets. We very much practice what we preach and try to support other small business as much as we can, shopping almost exclusively with other indies and B Corps (plus a fair bit of pre-loved). So you supporting us, means we can support them. Win win!
